Cathedral Park | July 28, 2007 | Kyle, Pip and Aaron
This section was the highlight of our aborted Cathedral Ridge traverse. Following the scramble to the ridge from the Boxcar, we spent some hours walking, scrambling, climbing and rappeling along this ridge towards Grimface (with the latter seeming never to draw any closer!). It was a blast. At times we didn't really know where we were going, but it all worked out in the end and the routefinding was a welcome challenge for us who are pretty novice in that department. There was some technical climbing here that took this part of the traverse beyond the realm of Scramblegs, but the initial scramble itself was also a lot of fun. Cathedral Trip photos here.
